As the insurance laws have undergone substantial changes pursuant to the recent amendments to UAE Federal Law Number 9 of 1984 on Insurance Companies and Agents, BSA LLP has been very active in representing participants in the industry on a local and regional level. The firm has also been involved in the incorporation and licensing of many international insurance companies both in the UAE and in the DIFC and has extensive experience in the DFSA insurance regulations including the DFSA Prudential - Insurance Business Module (PIN); and the DFSA Prudential and the Investment, Insurance Intermediation and Banking Business Module (PIB). The firm also represents insurance and reinsurance companies in insurance coverage litigation, and provides a broad range of regulatory advice to insurance companies and their advisers.
